Silly Sandals Flip Flops

Why are those rubber duck shoes: you know the flip flops or sandals with the holes in them and?
come in several different colours, so popular? I’ve seen them on people and I do not understand why they were in style.
I think they are very silly looking. On children these sandals would be okay, but on anyone over the age
like say 16 would look really silly.
I work in the medical field and the first people I saw wearing them were nurses and aides and I thought ok, they are just like nursding shoes, so I bought a pair and they are so unbelievable comfortable! I wear them to work but that is all, I agree with you they are ugly, but sooooo comfy! I honestly dont know why people wear them on a day to day basis though, I dont understand either.
