When did the crocs shoe fashion start?

It seems that everywhere I look now, both little kids and adults are wearing crocs. In my opinion, they are hideously ugly (and this is coming from a bright colour-loving girl – I was obsessed with RMax sport sandals when they were in style) but I’ve heard something about them being comfortable. Anybody know something about it?

Well, if you look at any reports about their stock (like when they are making a press release about a new model) it says a little history about them. It’s something that like 4 years ago they started at a boat show in Florida and they’ve just exploded in popularity since then. I love my Crocs. I thought they were ugly too, but you should really try them on. Once you try them on, you’ll see why they’re so popular.
