How often do airlines lose luggage?

The reason I ask is because I am going to Mexico for a week. Im going to a center tourism and I have much to offer. I need the obvious things like bathing suits, sandals, sneakers, straightner, layers of clothes, toiltries, and subsequently a number of semi-formal for restraunts there that need the dress code. With other things that I have a bag packed miscallanous. I do not consider myself a packer, but most all activities and requirements of different clothing do not see leaving anything behind. However, all who spoke told me that since I left so many times on my way (Hartford Charolette, Mexico City, Cancun) defentially lose more than my luggage. I have never flown, so I can not get to my destination and not have my luggage. They also say pack all carry-on luggage, but I do I can do more (I have several items that can be exercised) So really, what are the chances of my luggage is lost do you think?

I fly a lot, and never lost my luggage. Usually connections between 1-1.5 hours, and my storage has always been on the right plan. I had connections in less than an hour in the huge airport and my luggage is lost. You certainly are not guaranteed to lose your luggage. Each connection you have, your chances should increase only because it is an opportunity for something that moves. But the odds are still in their favor. Also, if your luggage is lost, are usually found quickly and will be sent to its destination. My stepmother has lost his suitcase on a flight a few years ago and went to his house the next day. Bring what you can in your luggage – a small toilet years, maybe a change of clothes and a bathing shirt, so that you can do if your luggage is lost for a day or two. But I think that will happen.
